It was a funny old regatta day. I missed most of the watersports because there was a lifeboat shout. We rescued two old boys on a bawley that was washed aground on a lee shore on the Tollesbury marshes. It didn't take long though; we were back before we knew it, and the rest of the crew dropped me off at the barge on the way back to the lifeboat station just in time for the Greasy Pole.
Then there was another lifeboat shout in the evening, something completely different, so I missed the prize-giving as well (just as well I hadn't won any prizes)! I did get to see the fireworks though.
Yay! Well done, and a brilliant photo. Just bought myself a copy of the Standard so I can cut out and keep!
ReplyDeleteNice one leafy!
ReplyDeleteThanks James and Maggie, and Juliet,
