Mothering Sunday



It's Mothering Sunday in the UK today. The daffodils are out and the sun is trying to shine.  Wishing my mum and all the mums everywhere a happy day.

    Hi Leafy, it's Kay here. I live in Singapore and became friends with Lucy and Angus Milgate whilst they were here. We did visit Mersea last summer and after hearing so much about the place can understand why Lucy and Angus were keen to return and settle with all the kids. We stayed in your street and I've heard much about you and was keen to meet but the time never seemed right. I did buy several of your beautiful cards as reminders of our stay but I'm too fond of the artwork to give them to anyone. Too bad for them! Lucy also bought me your "fish pie recipe" print which is in our kitchen. I was blown away by the beautiful boxes you made for Lucy's boys, so special for them. You are one talented girl! I was just going through my bookmarks and saw your blog, thought i'd pop in and see what you've been up to and saw the very sweet mother's day card with the bunnies! God I'm so envious, to be able to draw and paint like that... anyway we have a very humorous cartoonist in Australian called Michael Leunig and I thought you might get a giggle out of his take on mother's day...I hope you can access the link, please let me know if you can't. radfords@singnet.com.sg

    anyway, hope you had a great mother's day and keep up all the wonderful artwork. We're coming to Mersea again to catch up with the Milgates (during Mersea week so could be a bit messy....) will hopefully get to meet you then.
